Shoutcast TV Using VLC Media Player

watch shoutcast tv using vlc, an open source media player.
Shoutcast tv is a listing of streaming media servers, sending NSV, ( null soft video ). The broadcaster of a shoutcast listed tv station may encode the video in any of several codecs some of which are not supported ie: the vp6.2 codec provided by on2 for non commercial use.

Video may be encoded to h.264 and aac + audio to allow players with this decoder to watch shoutcast tv channels. The recording capabilities of vlc may also prevent viewing as some shoutcast dns servers are set to "kick", or " ban " these user agents to curb stream ripping.
